Yoga Mats

Yoga Mats – An Essential Element to Your Yoga Experience

Yoga exercise will not be complete without a comfortable yoga mats. All yoga enthusiasts from beginners to advanced yoga trainees need to have mats as they do the exercises. Finding a good mat is easy since yoga is now one of the most sought after fitness training. You can find reasonably priced as well as high-end mats depending on your preference.

Plastic Yoga Mats

This type of mats is perfect for those who are just starting out with yoga, especially if you are not yet sure if it is the appropriate fitness training for you. Since it is made out of plastic material, you can buy it from most sports shops and you can bring it anywhere. This type is available in various colors that you can match with your style and personality. Of course, it is not the most comfortable type in providing good cushioning. Others even complain about its weird smell. But if you will not use it often, it can serve the purpose. However, if you are planning to join yoga classes regularly, better get yourself a better one.

Eco-friendly Mats

Good thing that nowadays yoga mats are also available in eco-friendly materials. Among these environment-friendly mats are cork and rubber mats. Cork mats are definitely comfortable and can provide optimum cushioning. However, this type of yoga mats does not stay long so if you intend to have your yoga class everyday then this is not a good choice.
Rubber mats, on the other hand is a better choice as it can last longer. Not to mention the great cushioning it provides. But be careful in buying rubber mats because there are those that are made with synthetic rubber materials. If you buy those synthetic rubber mats then it is almost likely buying plastic mats since both are not good to the environment.

Pilate’s Matss
If you need intense cushioning because you have weak joints and knees, Pilate type of padding is what you need. They are better than the usual yoga mats as they provide better protection to your joints. Having this padding can give you great comfort so you can do your training better.

There are many yoga mats in the market. But just like any other products, these mats are not created equal. Some are good for short-term use while some are made to last for years. Whatever type of mats you want, make sure that it can give you maximum comfort that you need.
